LUDINGTON – the following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

– Marlette Marie Sheldon, 58, of Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 22 of trespassing and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; not to enter previous rented property; and $265 in fines and costs. One count of breaking and entering without owner’s permission was dismissed.

– Jeffrey Ryan Grant, 20, of 718 Dexter St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 16 of operating a vehicle while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next Victim Impact Panel (VIP) session; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of driving while license not valid dismissed.

– William Lawrence Miketa, 58, no address listed, was found guilty Oct. 16 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; perform 38 hours of community service or pay $595 in fines and costs; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTS) and drug tests; and $1.15 in restitution.

– Kelli Ann Busk, 38, of 108 E. Filer St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 16 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $595 in fines and costs.

– Chalene Kay Lopez, 39, of 1750 W. US 10, Amber Township, was found guilty Oct. 16 of marijuana possession and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $595 in fines and costs. One count of animal abandonment was dismissed.

– Patrick Gohngseng Wilson, 25, of 281 5th St., Manistee, was found guilty Oct. 17 of driving while license expired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Zachary Scott Wehner, 25, no address listed, was found guilty Oct. 17 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served. “You must not be on the premises of the library without written consent of the library,” his court file states. He was also found guilty of receiving and concealing stolen property and was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for 14 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must seek and maintain employment; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $595 in fines and costs. Cases run concurrently.

– Jaquelyn Nichole Lasater, 30, of 706 N. Harrison St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 15 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Jose Carlos Tierrablanca-Magueyal, 18, of 3155 S. Stiles Rd., Riverton Township, was found guilty Oct. 22 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $335 in fines and costs.

Fishing violations

The following were found guilty of fishing violations and sentenced to fines and costs of $220 unless otherwise noted.

– David Allen Sumner, 54, of 18002 Sorby Rd., Addison, Michigan, $495 in total fines and costs for two violations.
– Adam Jay-Ellsworth Ross, 35, of 1020 Elmwood Rd., Howard City, Michigan.
– David Alan Bean, 51, of 67988 Angela Dr., Richmond, Michigan.
– Matthew Counterman, 42, of 247 W. Chicago, Coldwater, Michigan.
– Matthew James Null, 26, of 20 Cutter Ave., Coldwater, Michigan.
