Scottville woman sentenced to jail, rehab.

LUDINGTON — A Scottville woman was sentenced to up to a year in jail today for the felony charge of controlled substance possession. Lauren Charlene Spinner, 27, of 103 N. Reinberg Ave., appeared in 51st Circuit Court where Judge Susan Sniegowski sentenced her to serve five months up front of a one year sentence, with credit for 71 days served. She also ordered Spinner to serve at an in-patient drug treatment program.

Spinner was arrested earlier this year by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT).

“You’ve been offered a lot of services over the last several years to teach you to get clean and for some reason you’re not connected with those services,” Judge Sniegowski said.

Charges of retail fraud and driving while license suspended were dismissed as part of the plea agreement with the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
