79th District Court sentencings, posted Aug. 31, 2018.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

– Blake Andrew Barrette, 18, of 105 W. Melendy St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 28 of third-offense minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) and was sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail for one year; $285 in fines and costs or perform 29 hours of community service; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) twice a week for one year. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of second-offense MIP was dismissed.

– Christopher Lee Thomas, 28, of 7448 Cadillac Hwy., Benzonia, was found guilty Aug. 28 of disorderly person – jostling and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $285 in fines in costs. One count of malicious destruction of a building less than $200 was dismissed.

– David Cameron McKendrick, 50, of 109 E. Foster St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 21 of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for 18 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $725 in fines and costs.

– Gavin Ray Routh, 23, of 3671 N. Stiles Rd., Victory Township, was found guilty Aug. 22 of domestic violence and was sentenced to 52 days in jail with credit for 52 days served; mental health treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Colby Justin Barrow, 23, of 5705 South 5900 West, Hooper, Utah, was found guilty Aug. 22 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and $870 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

– Sonja Lynn Gebben, 50, of 4664 44th St., Holland, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 27 of open intoxicants – passenger and was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
