LUDINGTON — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has released the drone footage of a three vehicle crash that happened on Pere Marquette Highway Tuesday July 31. The crash occurred when a 1999 Toyota Camry, driven by James Clark Williams, 62, of Scottville, was heading north on Pere Marquette Highway and apparently crossed the centerline into the path of a southbound 1996 Peterbilt semi truck driven by Brandon Scott Albaugh, 48, of Howard City. The semi truck, owned by Rieth-Riley Construction Co.,  was fully loaded with asphalt. After colliding with the semi, Williams’ vehicle then struck a southbound UPS delivery truck driven by Jack Eugene Stinebaugh, 29, of Ludington. Both trucks overturned.

Stinebaugh was uninjured in the crash while Albaugh suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.

Williams was transported to Ludington hospital by ambulance and then by helicopter to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. His wife, Sandi, told MCP that he had suffered from a broken hip, two broken bones in his lower arm and two broken bones in his upper leg. He has undergone surgeries for his injuries and is expected to spend several weeks of rehabilitation at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids.

The crash closed Pere Marquette Highway near the US 31 on-ramps and offramps for several hours. The incident remains under investigation by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
