Ludington man faces charges of raping 8-year-old child.

LUDINGTON — A Ludington man has been arraigned on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct Thursday, July 19, in 79th District Court. Ray Thomas Kelly, 66, 203 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 5, was arrested by Ludington Police Department and charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct first degree and two counts of CSC second degree. 

The alleged victim in the case was an 8-year-old child, according to police records. The alleged violations occurred between April 22 and July 5 of this year in the 5400 block of West Johnson Road in Pere Marquette Township and the 200 block of South Washington Avenue.

CSC first degree is punishable by a term of 25 years to life imprisonment while CSC second degree is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.

Kelly’s bond is set at $75,000 cash/surety. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Aug. 1 at 1:15 p.m.
