Youth theatre students to perform Saturday on Scottville shell. 

SCOTTVILLE — Stage Left Theatre Company and House of Flavors will present free performances by their Youth Theatre Workshop Students on Saturday, June 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Scottville Clown Band Shell, located adjacent to the Scottville Optimist Center. Students ranging in grades second through eighth worked with student directors throughout May to prepare the performances.

The schedule of performances is as follows:

  • 2 p.m.: Second and third grade students present “Dreams of Midsummer: the Players Story” under the direction of Erin Thibault and Matt Raisgaitis.
  • 2:30 p.m.: Fourth through sixth grade students present “Stuck in a Root” under the direction of Kat Catron and Trenton Wahr.
  • 3 p.m.: Seventh and eighth grade students present “An Exploration of Shakespeare’s Characters” under the direction of Harper Klotz and Carlos Ortega.

The event is open to the public and there is no charge to attend. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
