FREE SOIL — The Michigan Second Cavalry Civil War re-enactors will be holding a service on Sunday, July 1 at 10 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 2845 E Michigan St. The group will also be at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 5734 W 10 1/2 Mile Rd., Irons at 8 a.m.

The group will present the U.S. flag and will perform patriotic music, including “Taps.”
