PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested Monday, June 4, for punching his girlfriend, while she was driving, and for threatening to cut her throat. Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole said the incident occurred about 7 p.m. while the couple was driving on US 10 between Pere Marquette Highway and Jackson Road. Cole said the man reportedly punched the driver in the side of the head and then pulled a knife on her and made the threat to cut her throat. They entered the City of Ludington where the woman flagged down a Ludington Police Officer. Deputies recovered a knife from the front seat of the vehicle.
