Safe Harbor Credit Union donates to Staircase Youth Services.

LUDINGTON — Safe Harbor Credit Union donated $1,000 to Staircase Youth Services Friday during a presentation at the Staircase office located inside Lakeshore Resource Network, 920 E. Tinkham Ave. Safe Harbor President Adam Johnson said the money was raised by employees and members of the credit union during its observation of youth month in April. Johnson said one of Safe Harbor’s pillars is to give back to the community.

Staircase Executive Director Cynthia Arneson said she was thankful for the donation and the funds will be put to good use, assisting at-risk area youth. Staircase offers two main services: at-risk and runaway services and homeless youth services. It takes referrals from youth, friends, family members, teachers, police, clergy, agency personnel or anyone who has a concern for an at-risk youth.

The agency serves Mason, Lake, Manistee, Oceana, Missaukee, and Wexford counties and can be reached at 231-843-3200; www.staircaseyouthservices.org.

Safe Harbor Credit Union is a Mason County based member-supported credit union located at 1200 E. Tinkham Ave. and can be reached at 231-843-2323 or www.safeharborcu.org.
