79th District Court sentencings, posted April 27, 2018.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Christopher Joseph Sekenske, 22, of 2041 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, was found guilty April 17 of marijuana possession was sentenced to 90 days in jail; jail term concurrent with time imposed in circuit court case; work release allowed; one year discretionary jail for one year; driver’s license suspended for 180 days/restricted after 30 days; no alcohol/drugs; must complete substance abuse aftercare requirements; and $125 in fines and costs.

– Raquel Angela Lopez, 26, of 708 5th St., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” April 17 to third-degree retail fraud (shoplifting) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $763 in fines and costs. In a separate file, Lopez was found guilty April 17 of driving while license suspended was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State.

– James Robert Wicks, 51, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty April 17 of receiving and concealing stolen property and was sentenced to 30 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for one year; $418.81 in restitution; and $1,010 in fines and costs. Jail term will be suspended upon payment of restitution. One count of larceny $200-$1,000 was dismissed.

– Bradley Joseph Fredricks, 58, of 2600 Hiawatha Trail, Muskegon, was found guilty April 19 of allowing a minor to operate an ORV unsupervised and was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for one year and $195 in fines costs.
