NEWAYGO COUNTY — Michael Ryan Albaugh, 29, has been apprehended by the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Mason County Press reported at 3 p.m. that sheriff’s deputies were still searching for Albaugh but were working on some leads.

Albaugh is wanted on felony warrants charging him with burglary (home invasion second degree), safe breaking, breaking and entering, and unlawfully driving away an automobile.

Shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, a sheriff’s deputy, following up on a lead, went to a residence in the 7000 block of East Oakridge Road in the Tallman Lake area. At that time Albaugh fled to the back of a residence and barricaded himself in a room. While the deputy was awaiting backup Albaugh fled out a window. The MCSO K-9 unit was called but no track was obtained.
