LUDINGTON — A female suspect was arrested Sunday, April 1, 2018, in Mounds, Ill. in connection to a stolen vehicle out of Mason County, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. On Friday, March 30, the sheriff’s office took a complaint at 10 p.m. in the 7800 block of East Chickasaw Trail in Branch Township that a 2003 Mazda 3 had been stolen. On Sunday, a female driver of the vehicle was arrested on unrelated charges following a traffic stop in the town located in southern Illinois near the Mississippi River on the Missouri and Tennessee borders. Cole said the case has been turned over to the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
