Woman tries to strip in police car; faces 5 years for repeat drunk driving.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Van Buren Township woman tried to remove her clothes in the back of a patrol car after she was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Saturday, Feb. 24. The woman was arrested at 6:01 p.m. by Mason County Sheriff’s Office after she crashed her vehicle into a ditch on US 10 near Poplar Road. When told to stop removing her clothes, the woman attempted to fight and kick deputies. She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated third offense (OUI), a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a fine up to $5,000; driving while license suspended second offense, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine; and resisting/opposing a police officer, a felony punishable by up to two years in prison and/or a $2,000 fine.
