79th District Court sentencings posted Feb. 25, 2018.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Izeek Joe Ratliff, 20, of 312 S. Main St., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 14 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must attend next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; and $1,400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Two careless driving citations and one count of second-offense minor in possession of alcohol (MIP) were dismissed. Ratliff’s case runs concurrently to another file in which he was found guilty Feb. 14 of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; and $285 in fines and costs. He was also found guilty Feb. 14 of third-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; $160 in restitution; and $415 in fines and costs.

– Yari Kyle Lynch, 23, of 6080 Ivanhoe St., Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend AA once a week; must attend next VIP session; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $895 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One citation of refusing the PBT was dismissed.

– Sergio Ramon Escamilla, 24, of 4624 S. Pere Marquette, Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $600 in fines and costs.

– Carl Lee Herring, 27, of 301 N. State St., Hart, was found guilty Feb. 14 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for 29 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; outpatient treatment; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,225 in fines and costs. Citations for disobeying a stop sign and expired license were dismissed. Herring was also found guilty of reckless driving and received a concurrent sentence of 45 days in jail with credit for 29 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; outpatient treatment; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $375 in fines and costs. Convictions reportable to SOS. One count of failure to stop after a property damage accident and one count of failure to report an accident were dismissed.

– Timothy A. DePue, 29, of 105 W. First St., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 13 of second-offense domestic violence and was sentenced to 19 days in jail with credit for 19 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation and an anger management evaluation and follow the recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; must seek and maintain employment; and $665 in fines and costs. One felony count of assault by strangulation and a misdemeanor of domestic violence were dismissed.

– Tracy John Straub, 30, of 179 N. Jebavy Dr., Pere Marquette Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of no insurance and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $325 in fines and costs. One count of marijuana possession was dismissed. Straub was also found guilty Feb. 13 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines and costs. Convictions reportable to SOS. One count of improper plates was dismissed.

– Logan Walter Case, 20, of 105 E. 5th St., Scottville, was found guilty Feb. 13 of operating while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next VIP session; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $960 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Gregory Scott Roberts, 25, of 2716 20th St., Hopkins, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 13 of trespassing and was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $285 in fines and costs; and upon payment of fines and costs, discretionary jail term ends. One count of breaking and entering without owner’s permission was dismissed.

– Aaron Joseph Wilder, 37, of 1783 Maggie Rd., Sheridan Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of embezzlement and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $124 in restitution; and $535 in fines and costs.

– Kaden Ross Lehr, 19, of 603 3rd St., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 15 of allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle and was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.

– Chad Frederick Collins, 26, of 5841 N. Reek Rd., Sherman Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of DWLS and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of no insurance was dismissed.

– Jeffrey Clay Young, 48, of 337 Third St., East Lake, was found guilty of DWLS and was sentenced to 38 days in jail with credit for 38 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $600 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. No insurance, failure to report an accident and improper plates were dismissed.

– Alexis Joanne Sandretto, 26, of 3776 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, was found guilty Feb. 13 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $265 in fines and costs. One count of marijuana possession dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
