Right to Life to hold oratory contest.

LUDINGTON — Mason County Right to Life and Right to Life of Manistee County are hosting their annual It’s a Matter of Life or Death Oratory Contest on Saturday, march 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the West Shore Bank Room of the Mason County District Library Ludington Branch. Entry is free; refreshments will be provided.

The contest is available to local high school students. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges. Suggested topics include: abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or embryonic stem cell research.

Speech length should be between five to seven minutes.

First place is $100, second place is $50 and third place is $25. The winning speech will be submitted to local media. The winner also has the option to compete in Lansing against the other 17 affiliate winners where prizes are $500, $300, and $200.
