Verizon wireless services restored; software update blamed.

Verizon Wireless services have been restored after this morning’s outage that impacted thousands of people from northern Oceana County to most counties up to the Mackinac Bridge. Upnorthlive.com has reported that a Verizon Wireless representative said the outages were caused by a software update that was rolled out Sunday night.

Mason County residents started experiencing issues about 10 a.m. Monday and service appeared to have been restored by noon.
