LUDINGTON — Officials from the City of Ludington and the Michigan Department of Transportation continue talks on reconfiguring the number of lanes on Ludington Avenue between Jackson Road (city limits) and William Street from four and five lanes to three lanes on a trial basis. City Manager John Shay said MDOT engineers will be compiling information and drawings in order to show the public how such a lane configuration would look and the impacts of such a lane configuration.

A public meeting is tentatively planned for the week of Jan. 8 at city hall, in order to obtain the public’s input before making any decision on the issue, Shay said adding that official meeting notices will go out in late November or early December.
