West Shore Bank donates $12,000 to school music programs.

LUDINGTON – West Shore Bank has recently donated $12,000 to music programs at all three county public schools: Ludington Area Schools, Mason County Central Schools, and Mason County Eastern Schools.

The donations are a result of funds raised during the August Rhythm & Dunes concerts at Waterfront Park. Donations accepted during the concerts, food vendor fees and other merchandise sales provided the funds donated.

“The turnout for this year’s concerts was the highest we have experienced,” said Raymond A. Biggs, president and CEO of West Shore Bank. “West Shore Bank is proud to support and make a difference in our communities and our schools.  It’s an honor to come together with our friends and neighbors to celebrate and support music education for our local students.”

During the past six years, over $42,000 has been donated to the local music programs.  Funds have been used to buy and repair instruments, purchase sheet music and provide accessories for students with financial needs.  Mason County Eastern offers a K-12 music program for students and hired a full-time music instructor with funds donated from these concerts.

As an independent and locally owned bank, West Shore Bank is committed to making a real difference in
