LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Zachary Robert Hubbard, 24, of 4626 S. Custer Rd., Eden Township, pleaded guilty October 17 to second-offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend victim impact weekend; must attend AA twice per week for two years; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must immobilize or forfeit the vehicle used in the offense; and $1,685 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Brian Keith Ellison, 59, homeless, pleaded guilty October 20 to disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 21 days served. Fines/costs are suspended due to actual time spent in Mason County Jail.

-Brittany Michelle Lauber, 28, no address listed, pleaded guilty October 17 to disorderly conduct/disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for 25 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must explore counseling; must seek and maintain employment; and 12 months of probation. Fines/costs are suspended due to time served in Mason County Jail.

-William Craig Buchanan, II, 31, of 7736 W. Fox Rd., Mears, pleaded guilty October 17 to malicious destruction of a building and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and $535 in fines/costs.

-William Lionel Dibble, 44, of 1516 Ivanhoe Rd., Pere Marquette Township, pleaded guilty October 17 to assault and battery and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must have mental health evaluation; and $535 in fines/costs.

-Barbara Ruth Tyler, 26, no address listed, pleaded guilty October 17 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit for 21 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must obtain anger management counseling; and $285 in fines/costs. May perform community service in lieu of paying fines/costs. A charge of domestic assault was dismissed.

-Patricia Jean Swain, 62, of 2529 High St., Custer, pleaded no contest October 17 to selling/furnishing alcohol to a minor and was sentenced to 60 days discretionary jail for one year and $535 in fines/costs. May perform 26 hours of community service in lieu of paying oversight fees. A no contest plea is not an admission of guilty, but is treated as one during sentencing.

-Jason Edward Key, 37, of 9458 Mason Dr., Newaygo, pleaded guilty October 17 to using marijuana and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Jason Paul Shular, 37, of 8585 N. Oak Ave., Paris, Michigan, pleaded guilty October 17 to using marijuana and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $285 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Jeremy Ernest Frase, 38, of 505 E. Sixth St., Ludington, pleaded guilty October 17 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to pay $285 in fines/costs. A charge of assault and battery was dismissed.

-Jared Michael Finholm, 35, of 202 ½ Third St., Ludington, pleaded guilty October 19 to driving while license not valid and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-David Wayne Verschueren, 24, of 2328 N. 32nd St., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty October 19 to transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle and was sentenced to pay $265 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Sheldon Tyler Cregg, 23, of 8802 E. M-20, Hesperia, pleaded guilty October 19 to recreational trespassing on a farm and was sentenced to pay $125 in fines/costs.

-Brady Allen Zimmer, 17, of 1047 Dunbar Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty October 19 to transporting/possessing deer without validation and was sentenced to six months of probation and 24 hours of community service.

-David Lee Zimmer, 44, of 619 S. Tyndall Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty October 19 to transporting/possessing deer without validation and was sentenced to pay $235 in fines/costs.

-Zachary James Meldrum, 23, of 2539 Lorenson Rd., Muskegon, pleaded guilty October 19 to attempted snagging of fish and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs.

-Nathan Andrew Spring, 22, of 564 Margaret St., Muskegon, pleaded guilty October 19 to attempting snagging of fish and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs.

Dismissals

-Zachary Ryan Grow, 23, of 3786 Manning St., North Muskegon, had charges of malicious destruction of personal property and assault and battery dismissed on October 17. According to court records, “Due to lack of cooperation from complaining witnesses in this matter, the state cannot successfully prosecute the case.”

-Terre Rashida Green, 22, of 124 Washington St., Manistee, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on October 17 after pleaded guilty to a lesser offense.

-Ray Anthony Hutchinson, 46, of 2451 Washington Rd., Pentwater, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on October 17 after pleaded guilty to a lesser offense.
