LUDINGTON — A 68-year-old Pere Marquette Township woman faces serving 90 days up front of a one-year discretionary jail term after pleading “no contest” in 51st Circuit Court to delivering a controlled substance.

Linda Lou Hackert, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 14, admitted to Judge Susan K. Sniegowski that she sold 20 Xanax pills that were prescribed to her for $5. She was arrested last March.

The offense carries a four-year maximum prison term.

Hackert will also serve a term of probation, and her driver’s license will be suspended for six months with a restricted license after 30 days, said Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.
