Judge Nellis to preside over state Adoption Day ceremony.

LUDINGTON — Mason County Probate Court Judge Jeff Nellis has been selected by the Michigan Supreme Court as one of two judges to preside over the state’s Adoption Day ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 21 in Lansing.

“It’s a great honor,” Judge Nellis told MCP. Nellis has been probate court judge since 2013. Prior to that, he served as an attorney and worked on many cases involving children, including adoptions.

Judge Nellis said he has invited select families from Mason County to hold their adoption procedures at the Supreme Court during the state ceremony.
