AMBER TOWNSHIP — Betten Baker, a vehicle dealership that currently operates in 12 locations, is acquiring Great Lakes Ford of Ludington, 3045 W. US 10-31, effective September 5, 2017, according to a press release. Current owner Chris Zeppenfeld is expected to continue working for the company in the Ludington location and locations in the Muskegon market as well.

This is the company’s first Ford dealership. It also has locations in Muskegon, Twin Lake, Coopersville, Allegan, Big Rapids, Lowell, and Grandville, which sell Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Honda, and Hyundai.

“The newly proclaimed Betten Baker Ford location will remain a loyal partner to the Ludington community and remain somewhat the same initially with the exception of exponentially increasing its used vehicle inventory and now having access to additional brands that are offered by the Betten Baker Auto Group through their other west Michigan Locations,” the press release stated.

“In addition, Betten Baker Ford will continue to be an active business in the community and will sponsor local events in Ludington, as Great Lakes Ford of Ludington has done for many years.”

The dealership will continue to be the title sponsor of the Ludington Offshore Classic Fishing Tournament, the press release stated.
“We’ve been looking to add the Ford brand to our auto group for some time,” said co-owner Chris Baker, “We were waiting for the perfect fit, which we found in Chris Zeppenfeld and his team at Great Lakes Ford of Ludington. We’re excited to introduce Betten Baker to the Ludington community and show them what a positive experience it is to shop and buy at Betten Baker.”
