Fair looking for help to name that pig!

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Western Michigan Fair Association is looking for the public’s help in naming it’s new pig mascot. The pig is expected to be present at one of the Sizzling Summer Singoff preliminary competitions at downtown Ludington’s Friday Night Live events (July 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4), and of course, at the 79th annual Western Michigan Fair, Aug. 8-12 at the Mason County Fairgrounds on US 10.

On Wednesday, Aug. 9, fair board members will select three names submitted by the public. Those three names will then be voted on by people attending the fair the evening of Thursday, Aug. 10, following the Sizzling Summer Singoff finals. The winning name will be the name that receives the most cheers from the audience.
