Hart author to launch book at arts center.

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Center for the Arts will host a book launch for author Sally Defreitas celebrating her new book, “Shipwrecked Three Times, A Michigan Girl Goes to Sea” at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts on Friday, July 7. The event will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Gallery Room at the Ludington Art Center, 107 South Harrison St. It is free to the public to attend.

Sally Defreitas is from Hart and her strong sense of place that pervades DeFreitas’ work derives from her roots in rural Michigan and her feeling for the land, its waters and people. Some of her previous books are “If the Shoe Fits”, “If you Play with Fire”, “If Two are Dead”, and “Cry of the Loon”.
