Scottville Clown Band Shell this week: You’re not too old for Tom & Jerry’s music.

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Clown Band Shell 2017 season continues this week with the classic rock duo NTO (Not Too Old) Music by Tom & Jerry on Tuesday, June 13, at 7 p.m.

The duo consists of Tom Hollar and Jerry Keller. Tom is a native of Spring Lake who now resides near Ruby Creek in Newaygo County. Keller is a native of Grand Rapids who lives in Woodland Park south of Bitely. The duo performs locally from Baldwin to Ludington and points in between. Their music consists of classic rock from the ‘60s and ‘70s with a mix of country, Tom says.

This is the duo’s first time on the Clown Band Shell but Hollar has performed many times on the shell with its namesake, the Scottville Clown Band. Many might recognize him as one of the band’s infamous “strippers,” a duty he took over after the death of his father, Len Hollar, who also performed those duties for many years.

The Scottville Clown Band Shell is a joint effort between the Scottville Optimist Club and the Scottville Clown Band. This year’s major sponsors include West Shore Bank, Indian Summer Co-Op, Mason County Press, Hardman Construction, Safety Decals, Mason County Central Education Foundation, Smith & Eddy Insurance, and Turf Care/Mole Man.

Tax deductible contributions may be made out to Scottville Clown Band Shell, PO Box 278, Scottville, MI 49454.

In the case of rain, the performance will be moved into the Scottville Optimist Center.
