Ludington to consider rezoning for 3 story development.

LUDINGTON — A three story mixed use development is being planned for the northeast corner of Rath Avenue and Filer Street. City Council is being asked during its regular meeting tonight to change the city’s zoning map in order to rezone the area from central business district (CBD) to waterfront central business district. 

The request is being made by Bob Gibson of KLS Properties LLC of Ludington. 

The area specifically is 209 S. Rath Ave., 120 W. Filer St., and 124 W. Filer St., across from the Grand Restaurant and next to Chef John’s European Cafe and Bakery.

The change is being requested because current zoning allows residential above the first floor only. The change would allow for residential use on the main level as well.
