Ludington woman arrested on drug charges.

LUDINGTON — Janis Kay Rider, 60, of Ludington was arraigned Thursday, May 25, in 79th District Court on charges of delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of Tramadol, according to Det./Lt. Andrew Ambrose of the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT).

“Rider has bonded out of the Mason County Jail. The most serious charge is a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $20,000.00 fine.

“On April 13, 2017, SSCENT detectives initiated an investigation at an address on First Street in the City of Ludington. That investigation led to the execution of a search warrant in the 500 block of Fifth Street. As a result of the investigation, charges were authorized for Rider. Rider was arrested (Wednesday) May 24 by officers from the Ludington City Police Department.
