Former Wesco employee arrested for stealing lottery tickets.

SCOTTVILLE — A 31-year-old Kalamazoo woman was arrested last week by Scottville Police Department for allegedly stealing lottery tickets from the Scottville Wesco gas station, where she worked.

Jammie Leigh Cluck, of 127 W. Alcott, Kalamazoo was arrested April 17 and charged with embezzlement by an agent/trustee, a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year imprisonment and/or a fine of not more than $2,000 or three times the value of the money or property embezzled, whichever is greater.

According to a police report, Cluck is accused of stealing $570 worth of scratch off lottery tickets from the gas station in early February of this year. According to the report, Cluck admitted to the store manager that she had stolen the items as she was being fired from the job. Cluck also admitted to Scottville Police Sgt. Jason Williams, during an interview at Scottville Police Department, that she had stolen the items, according to the police report.

After being fired, Cluck moved away from the area, Scottville Police Chief Don Riley said. She was arrested in Van Buren County after Scottville Police Department issued a warrant for her arrest.

A pretrial in Mason County’s 79th District Court is scheduled for May 19 at 9:45 a.m and bail was set at $5,000/10 percent.
