#MasonCountyDeaths.

Doreen Alice Langfeldt, 82, of Custer passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.  Doreen was born on May 7, 1934, the daughter of Allen and Evelyn (Ager) Quick, and married Earl Langfeldt on March 6, 1953 in Scottville.  She and Earl celebrated 45 years together before Earl preceded her in death on March 28, 1998.  Doreen was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Allen and Kenneth Quick, and her sister Carol Quick.

Doreen was a faithful member of Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church in Fountain and enjoyed participating in the many activities of the congregation.  She loved being outdoors camping with family and fishing with Earl, always using her favorite cane pole.  Doreen also enjoyed spending time working in her garden and canning much of the produce she grew.  Her greatest joy came in the presence of her family, especially her grandchildren where she was the biggest cheerleader in their many activities.

Doreen will be greatly missed by her children Gary Langfeldt and wife Dessa of Scottville, Michael Langfeldt and friend Margaret Vandervest of Custer, and Kimberly Jensen and husband Vic also of Scottville; her beloved grandchildren Matthew (Jessica) Langfeldt, Erin (Jesus Lara) Langfeldt, Tom (Anna) Langfeldt, Kyle, Derek, and Cody Jensen; 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held for Doreen at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 4 at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services – Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville with The Rev. Norman Letsinger officiating.  Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.  Those who wish to remember Doreen with a memorial donation may make it to a charity of the donor’s choice.
