Obituary: Heather Christensen-Hoffman, 41, formerly of Ludington.

Heather Marie Christensen-Hoffman, 41, of Muskegon and formerly of Ludington, passed away on February 25, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born December 4, 1975 in Ludington, graduated from Mason County Central High School and was employed in food service for West Shore Community College and she also enjoyed working as a nanny.

Heather overcame many challenges in her short life and faced life with a smile and laughter. She always had a kind word for everyone she met. Heather loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews, baking, swimming, playing and giving hugs. She adored her grandmothers Grace, Leona, Dolores and one very special person, grandpa Otto. Heather will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Our dear little girl, God now holds in his arms.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Kenneth Hoffman of Muskegon; her mother and step-father, Vickie (Richard) Collins; father, Ronald Christensen, all of Ludington; brothers: Shane (Abby) Christensen of Sault St. Marie, MI, Jim (Alisha) Christensen and Tyrone (Jennifer) Collins both of Ludington, Richard (Jodi) Collins Jr. of Mount Pleasant; grandparents, Otto (Dolores) Larson of LudingtonI; along with numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and her aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Grace Christensen.

A funeral service for Heather will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 301 N. Jebavy Drive, Ludington, MI 49431 with Pastor Jerry DePoy officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday morning with burial will taking place at Pere Marquette Cemetery in Ludington.
