The holidays are coming to a close and residents of the cities of Ludington and Scottville may be wondering what to do with their natural Christmas trees.

Residents of the City of Ludington may place their natural Christmas trees to the curb for refuse pick-up. The trees must not have any lights, decorations, or tinsel on them. The Department of Public Works will pick them up as time allows.

Residents of the City of Scottville will need to purchase a tag from City Hall if they would like to have their Christmas picked up at the curb. They may also haul the tree themselves to the city’s compost pile, located behind the Department of Public Works building on First Street west of Reinberg Avenue (behind the water tower).

Residents of other areas that provide refuse pickup should check with their city government about natural Christmas tree disposal.

Also, garbage refuse for Scottville, Ludington, and Pere Marquette Township is delayed this week, due to the holiday.
