Obituary: Pearl Skow, 98, Cadillac, formerly of Scottville. 

Pearl Esther Skow, 98 of Cadillac and longtime resident of Scottville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Samaritas Senior Living of Cadillac.  Pearl was born on April 4, 1918 on the family farm in Eden Township, the daughter of Allie and Laura (Brovant) Saxton, and graduated from Custer High School with the class of 1936.  On March 8, 1959 she married Henry Skow and they celebrated 47 years together before Henry preceded her in death in 2006.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sons Gary Duggan and Ron Duggan; her son-in-law Pete Carlson; her granddaughter Pam Keith; her grandson Rich Duggan; her brothers and sisters: Dick (Jessie) Saxton, Danny (Margaret) Saxton, Blanch (Galen) Blocker, and Kay (Harry) Nordan.

Pearl worked at Star Watch Case in Ludington and alongside her husband, Henry, at Skow Nursery. Everyone loved Pearl for her loving kindness, her sharp mind, and great sense of humor.

Pearl will be greatly missed by her daughter, Joyce Carlson of Cadillac; her daughters-in-law: Rosemary Duggan (Larry Hall) of Ludington, and Donna Duggan of Custer; her grandchildren: Bob (Nancy) Keith, Mike Keith (Lisa Nickelson), Jeff (Jan) Keith, Duane Duggan, Randy Duggan, Darcy Rogers (Nolan Crawford), Becky VanBeckum (James Strzelecki),  Brian (Ida) Duggan; her great-grandchildren: Kevin Gordon (Abby Dettloff), Cassie Hubbard, Scott, Ryan, and Brena Rogers, Kristen and Ashleigh Duggan, Justin, Kyle, Logan, and Megan VanBeckum, Rachel and Jason Keith; her great-great-grandchildren: Ethan Hubbard, Daitona Woodard, Jason Rogers, and Rylan Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held for Pearl at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3 at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services – Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville with Rev. Norman Letsinger officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Custer.  Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.  Those who wish to make a donation in memory of Pearl are asked to consider a charity of the donor’s choice.
