LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Michael Arthur Edgington, 58, of 2794 S. Tyndall Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for 28 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $600 in fines and costs; may perform 30 hours of community service within four months for $300 credit towards fines and costs; must have substance abuse and/or domestic violence evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs).

– Grayson Kenneth Milton, 25, of 1422 E. US 10, Custer Township, pleaded “no contest” Nov. 22 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days in jail. Jail term is concurrent with time imposed in another case.

– Edgar Joel Arambula, 19, of 811 N. Lavinia St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to breaking and entering a motor vehicle to steal property and was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for five days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must abide by curfew for one year and be home within half an hour after work or school; must perform 40 hours of community service within eight months; and $970 in fines and costs. A charge of larceny from a motor vehicle was dismissed.

– Bradley Daniel Gilman, 27, of 710 E. Third St., Ludington, pleaded “no contest” Nov. 22 to assault and battery and was sentenced to nine days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must have substance abuse and/or anger management evaluation; no contact with the victim; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must not enter establishments that serve alcohol by the glass; and $720 in fines and costs.

– Jerry Lynn Martin, 63, of 4048 N. US 31, Sherman Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to operating with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced to 180 days discretionary jail for one year; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend AA two times per week; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $1,365 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of operating while intoxicated and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police were dismissed.

– Matthew James Lane, 28, of 3692 Woodview Dr., Amber Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to failure to maintain security (no motor vehicle insurance) and was sentenced to one year discretionary jail for one year and $575 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable SOS.

– Bruce Wells Richardson, 62, of 5651 W. Pleasant Hill Rd., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victims impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must attend the DUI II program; and $1,070 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

– Amber Marie Dennert, 36, of 724 E. Filer St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Nov. 22 to second-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for one day served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend impact weekend; must attend AA two times per week for two years; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; subject to random drug tests, and $1,595 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

– Douglas Alan Robert Edens, 26, of 163 Taylor St., Manistee, pleaded guilty Nov. 28 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; one year probation; and $335 in fines and costs.

– Travis William Rogers, 40, of 2141 Audobon St. SW, Wyoming, pleaded guilty Nov. 28 to failure to validate a deer kill and was sentenced to pay $235 in fines and costs.

– Stephen Michel Klein, 38, of 7640 Puttygut Rd., Casco, pleaded guilty Nov. 28 to excess bait-over legal limit and use/loan kill tag to another person and was sentenced to pay $435 in fines and costs.

– Steven Michael Churchill, 42, of 52145 Brentwood Dr., Shelby Township, pleaded guilty Nov. 28 to excess bait-over legal limit and use/loan kill tag to another person and was sentenced to pay $435 in fines and costs.

Dismissal

– Myra Mae Peterson, 35, of 5751 Barton Rd., Pere Marquette Township, had a charge of assault and battery dismissed Nov. 28 by Judge Peter Wadel. Bond is canceled and will be returned after costs are deducted.
