LUDINGTON — Lakeshore Resource Network received a donation of $50,000 from West Shore Bank Monday afternoon. Construction is underway at the organization’s new facility, 920 E. Tinkham Ave. The facility will serve as a multi-agency hub to assist people in need, especially with nutritional needs. See related story here. While several agencies are involved, the project is being overseen by the Pennies from Heaven Foundation and United Way of Mason County.

“We are very grateful to West Shore Bank for continuing to support local organizations in the community,” said Monica Schuyler, executive director of the Pennies from Heaven Foundation. “While the building is fully funded by Pennies from Heaven, support from the community like this helps us to equip the facility and pay the operating costs for the new food club so that we can open strong in April and provide quality lasting service.”
