Obituary: Diane Richards, 77, Ludington

Diane “Busha” Richards, 77, of Ludington died Thursday morning, November 24, 2016 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington.

She was born on January 9, 1939 in Manistee, the daughter of the late Stanley and Bernice (Mazur) Steinberg.  She attended Manistee High School.  On May 11, 1957 she married John Richards at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee.  He preceded her in death on November 5, 1994.

Diane was a member of the Eagles in Ludington.  She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren & family, knitting, crocheting, cooking, gardening, playing cards, and playing pool.

Survivors include her life partner, Kirk Enger of Ludington; one son, James (Tammy Jones) Richards of Onekama; two daughters: Debra (William) Schneider of Ludington, and Dana (Jim) Reid of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Justin and Dylan Richards, Jeramy, Tommy, Brooke, and Brent Schneider, Megan Richards, and Jimmy Reid; one brother: George (Karen) Steinberg of Brethren; two sisters: Carol Schmeling and Pati (Jerry) Potes, both of Manistee; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, John Richard, Jr., and three brothers: Richard, Ron, and Bob Steinberg.

Funeral Services for Diane K. Richards will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Ludington with Father Wayne Wheeler officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until time of service.
