LUDINGTON — A 19-year-old Ludington man pleaded guilty in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Nov. 22, to a four-year felony of accosting a minor for immoral purposes.

Armando Ramirez, Jr., of 208 E. Melendy St., testified that he had sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.

Ramirez initially faced a 15-year felony of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC), which was dismissed in a plea agreement.

He was arrested last month by the Ludington Police Department and lodged in the Mason County Jail on a $50,000 cash/surety bond. The incident occurred last July in the City of Ludington, according to his testimony.

The plea agreement calls for Ramirez serving six months up front of a one-year discretionary jail term and registering as a “tier 2” sex offender, said Mason County Assistant Prosecutor Glen Jackson III.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 13 at 1:45 p.m.
