SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP — About three acres of brush burned Wednesday afternoon at Zwagerman Farm Cropping, LLC farm, 2159 N. Morse Road. Owner Jacob Zwagerman said the fire started in an area that had burned about two months ago. “It was just the perfect conditions to reignite the brush,” he said about the warm weather. “It was mostly swamp brush that burned.”

Firefighters from Fountain Area Fire Department, Branch Township Fire Department, and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources were on scene for about five hours.
