LUDINGTON — A 42-year-old Hart man was sentenced to serve 90 days up front of a one year jail term in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Nov. 15, for a conviction of third-degree fleeing a police officer.

Jose Alfredo Villareal, of 1588 E. Hammett Rd., was arrested last July by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. A misdemeanor conviction of unlawful use of a license plate runs concurrently to his felony sentence, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski. The judge agreed to allow Villareal work release if he qualifies.

Sniegowski also sentenced him to 18 months probation. He was given credit for 15 days served in jail. Villareal was allowed to report to jail this Friday, Nov. 18.
