LUDINGTON — Kaye Holman has been elected the mayor of Ludington, narrowly defeating Cheri Stibitz-Rozell by eight votes (see results below). Holman, 75, will serve as mayor pro-tem/councilor-at-large until Dec. 31 and then will be sworn in as mayor, a position that she will serve until the end of 2018. She replaces Ryan Cox who resigned mid-term earlier this year due to a change of residency.

Brandy Henderson will become the second generation of Hendersons to serve on city council. The 28-year-old defeated David Buskirk 1,899 to 1,222 (60%). Her father, John, served three terms as mayor.

“I’m just really excited. Really excited,” Holman said.
