Sheriff’s office looking for suspect in recent break-ins.

LUDINGTON — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Shanin Nicholas Waite, 24, the suspect in three recent breaking and entering crimes in Mason County. Waite is wanted for questioning in connection to breaking and enterings that took place at King Funeral Home and Lower Hamlin Grocery store on Sept. 13, and also a third incident on Oct. 2. He is also wanted on a parole violation warrant out of Ottawa County. He is also listed with the Michigan Department of Corrections to being a parole absconder out of Oceana County as well.

Waite is described as a white male, 6-feet tall, 150 pounds with brown hair, and blue eyes. He has several tattoos, the most prominent is of a nude woman on his right forearm. According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, he also has a tattoos on both hands.

On Sept. 13, a minivan was stolen from King Funeral Home and then tobacco and alcohol were stolen from Hamlin Grocery. The intruder crawled through a window to gain access to both buildings.
