LUDINGTON — Adam and Christine Lamb have been chosen to serve as this year’s United Way of Mason County fundraising campaign chairs.

“We are very honored to have the Lambs serve in this capacity,” said Lynne Russell, United Way executive director. “Their leadership skills, combined with their energy and enthusiasm, will make for a very successful campaign.”

Adam and Christine both grew up in Mason County and are now raising their two children, Caleb 11 and Adalyn, 9 months.

“Mason County has been good to us and we want to be able to give back to the community,” Adam said. “We believe that by serving as campaign co-chairs for this year’s United Way of Mason County annual fundraising campaign is one way to do this.  It also gives us the opportunity to begin teaching our children the importance of volunteering and giving back.”

The Lambs went on to say that they agreed to serve in this role, because they believe that United Way of Mason County plays a very important role in the community from the multitude of local programs that they help fund to playing a leadership role in forming collaborative partnerships throughout the community.   “We are also very impressed with the fact that over 98% of the dollars raised stays right here in Mason County,”  Christine added.

Adam graduated from Ludington Area Schools in 1997 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.  He is the president of Ludington Yacht Sales.  Christine is a 1999 graduate of Mason County Central Schools and earned a bachelor’s degree from Grand Vallley State University and a master’s degree from Baker College.  She is the Financial Center manager with Fifth Third Bank Ludington.
