LUDINGTON — Gene Robert Foster, 42, 603 E. Melendy St., Apt. 2, Ludington, was sentenced in 51st Circuit Court recently to serve one year in jail with credit for one day served after pleading guilty to two counts of delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance.

Foster’s sentence will be served at the court’s discretion with four months of electronic monitoring, or tether, up front. He was also placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to pay $786 in fines and costs.

As part of a plea agreement, Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola did not proceed with the double penalty enhancement.
