The following is recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:

Friday, Sept. 2, 2016:

• 1:48 a.m., a 36-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) following a traffic stop, US 10-31 and Dennis Road, Amber Township.

• 12:05 p.m., larceny of a wood splitter, 7900 block of E. Riverside Drive, Meade Township.

• 3:44 p.m., a 48-year-old Chicago man received minor injuries after his vehicle was struck by a vehicle pulling out of a private drive, Custer Road north of Hoague Road, Free Soil Township.

• 4 p.m., MCSO Marine Patrol responded along with Riverton Fire Department to a reported boat fire on Bass Lake in Summit Township. Upon arrival, the boat was found to be fully engulfed with minor burn injuries to the owner. The boat, a 1997 202 Crownliner 20-foot-long ski boat was totally destroyed. See related story here.

Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016:

• 7:48 a.m., gas drive-off, 400 block of E. US 10 — Scottville EZ Mart, Custer Township.

• 8:10 a.m., a 34-year-old Waterford, Michigan man was injured when the vehicle he was driving eastbound on Chauvez Road failed to stop for the stop sign at Pere Marquette Highway in Pere Marquette Township and was broadsided by a southbound vehicle. Following the collision, the vehicle driven by the Waterford man rolled over and struck a house. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

• 8:20 a.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Benson, Branch Township.

• 10:04 a.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Chauvez and Morton roads, Riverton Township.

• 1 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10-31 and Brye Road, Amber Township.

• 1:13 p.m., a 28-year-old Brookville, Ohio for man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, Washington and Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington.

• 1:37 p.m, two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 31 and Freeman Road, Grant Township.

• 1:54 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road and Victory Drive, Victory Township.

Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016:

• 6:49 a.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 and Sauble Road, Free Soil Township.

• 3:54 p.m., a 21-year-old Ludington man was arrested by MCSO Marine Patrol for boating while intoxicated following a stop for a no wake violation, Harbor Channel, City of Ludington.

• 12:25 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10-31 and Brye Road, Amber Township.
• 8:15 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Hansen and Quarterline roads, Amber Township.
• Monday, Sept. 5, 2016:5:53 p.m., damaged property, a food plot field was damaged by a vehicle, 5000 block of South Taylor Road, Logan Township.
