Idlewild man arrested on 3 warrants, DWLS charge.

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 42-year-old Idlewild man was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on three outstanding warrants and for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 5:37 p.m. on US 10, west of Benson Road.

The warrants are for contempt of court – failure to appear for operating under the influence of liquor issued by the Zeeland Police Department; contempt of court – failure to appear for DWLS issued by the Blissfield Police Department; and child neglect/support issued by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other MCSO activity Tuesday:

  • 2 a.m., a 28-year-old Ludington woman was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, Johnson and Nelson, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 2:31 a.m., a 28-year-old Naples, Florida man was cited for open intoxicants following a traffic stop, Jebavy Drive and Dewey Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 10:46 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10-31 and Quarterline Road, Amber Township.
