HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — Mason County Sheriff’s deputies recovered five long guns, and a 40-year-old Ludington man was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm following an investigation Friday, Aug. 5, in the 2900 block of Lena Drive, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at 6:03 p.m., and a firearm had been displayed.

In a separate incident, deputies were dispatched Thursday, Aug. 4, at 1:40 p.m. to a breaking and entering of a vehicle involving the larceny of a handgun in the 6100 block of North Beaune Road in Hamlin Township. The victim told police that his wallet and Glock model-19 9 mm pistol were stolen, Cole said.
