Piehl

– Nicholas James Piehl, 22, 810 N. James St., Ludington, was arrested July 28 by Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of forgery, uttering and publishing (two counts), larceny from a building and habitual offender second offense. Preliminary hearing: August 17 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000 cash/surety.

– Cory Robert Hernandez, 24, 120 W. Main St., Scottville, was arrested August 1 by LPD on felony charges of first degree home invasion, felonious assault and domestic violence. Preliminary hearing: August 17 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $10,000 cash/surety.

– Lucas Edward Castonia, 29, 5324 S. Darr Rd., Eden Township, was arrested July 30 by Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of assault by strangulation and domestic violence. Preliminary hearing: August 17 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Bryan Wendell Griffin, 58, 292 S. Meyers Rd., Amber Township, July 28, Michigan State Police (MSP), failure to maintain security (no insurance). Pretrial: August 22 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $1,500 personal.

– Ethan Michael Lawrence Sadler-Rybicki, 17, 11606 N. Custer Rd., Freesoil Township, July 28, MSP, possession of marijuana. Pretrial: August 15 at 2:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal.

– Ashley Anne Martinez, 27, 117 E. Melendy St., Ludington, July 28, LPD, larceny less than $200. Pretrial: August 15 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500 personal.
