The West Shore Wolves Amateur Hockey Association, in collaboration with the West Shore Community Ice Arena, will hold registration sessions on Sat, August 13, at three locations in Mason and Manistee counties.

Those sites are the main entrance to Manistee High School from 12:30 to 2 p.m., the Ludington High School main lobby from 3 to 4:30 p.m., and the West Shore Community Ice Arena from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, registrants will be asked to complete a sign-up form, provide a copy of a birth certificate and make a $40 down payment, which will secure a child’s membership for the season.  Cash or check only will be accepted.

“West Shore Community College is home to an incredible ice arena that provides our surrounding communities affordable ice time. The association’s mission is to provide our young skaters the opportunity to play hockey in a safe and enjoyable environment,” says the association’s Vice-President Ted Malt.

“We are anticipating a record number of young hockey players this upcoming year, as we are catapulting off a stellar season that included a Squirts ADRAY State Championship and a Pee Wee ADRAY State Championship runner-up.”

Parents will be registering their players for one of the following teams/sessions: Learn to Skate, which is a prerequisite for the West Shore Wolves Hockey program, U-6, (under 6 years of age), U-8 (under 8 years of age), Squirts (birth years 2006-2007), Pee Wee (birth years 2004-2005), and Bantams (birth years 2002-2003).

Any players, regardless of age, who are new to skating will be evaluated and placed within the program accordingly.

Annual participation fees or more information can be found on the West Shore Wolves website at www.westshorecia.com or contact Malt at 231-499-7693.
