LUDINGTON – The following were arraigned recently in 79th District Court:

Felonies

Sobers

– Jeremy Richard Sobers, 39, 3757 N. Reek Rd., Sherman Township, was arrested July 3 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on felony charges of assault by strangulation and two counts of resisting/opposing/obstructing police and a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Preliminary hearing: July 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000 cash/surety. See related story here.

– Jesse Allan Goodrich, 33, 1414 N. Lakeshore Dr., Hamlin Township, was arrested July 3 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) on felony charges of interfering with an electronic communications device and resisting/opposing/obstruction police, and a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Preliminary hearing: July 20 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Kenneth Alan Roberts, Jr., 28, 24475 El Marco Dr., Farmington Hills, Mich., June 29, MCSO, operating while intoxicated second offense. Pretrial: August 1 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

– Robert Anthony-Wolever Newcom, 35, 6670 E. US 10, Walhalla, June 29, MCSO, malicious destruction of personal property. Pretrial: July 18 at 2 p.m. Bail: $5,000 personal.

– Ryan Lee Herrera, 34, 3376 N. Custer Rd., Sherman Township, June 18, MCSO, controlled substance possession – marijuana, improper transport of medical marijuana, and driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: July 25 at 3:15 p.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

– Tara Lynn Bowers, 36, 4679 E. First St., Custer Township, June 30, MCSO, retail fraud third degree. Pretrial: August 1 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal.

– Jonathan Herman Chambers, Jr., 105 Fourth St. Apt. 2, Ludington, July 1, LPD, retail fraud third degree. Pretrial: July 25 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500 personal.
