SCOTTVILLE — Cole’s Antiques Villa, located at 120 N. Main Street, was the recent recipient of a mini grant of $2,500 from the Scottville Downtown Development Authority. The purpose of the grant is to encourage downtown businesses to make improvements to their business, which will help them grow and also help the town grow. The money was used to purchase a storage shed that will be used for additional retail space.

“This is our third year in Scottville and we have had such a wonderful experience here,” said Sally Cole, who owns the business with her husband, Jerry. Cole’s Antiques Villa had previously been located in downtown Ludington for over 25 years. “This new space allows us to offer larger items that don’t necessarily fit well in our store.”

The shed was built by Wanna Buy Sheds of Walhalla. The Cole’s matched over $2,500 to the DDA grant.
