Scottville commission may decide not to seek liquor license for Harvest Festival tent.

SCOTTVILLE — The City Commission is scheduled to discuss the Scottville Harvest Festival entertainment tent liquor license during its regular meeting today at 5:30 p.m. The city’s insurance company has recommend that the city not apply for the license but rather allow a third party to do so. The Harvest Festival committee is not a separate organization like the Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce is, which used to oversee the festival.

City Manager Amy Williams said the Harvest Festival committee will be approaching some local organizations about taking over the tent’s licensing.

The city commission is expected to vote on the decision to apply or not apply during tonight’s meeting at city hall.
